Rome hosts event of Young Italian Researches Association on Azerbaijan
Annual conference of Young Italian Researches Association on Azerbaijan and Caucasus (ASSAC) has been held at La Sapienza University in Rome.
Moderated by President of ASSAC, Professor Daniel Pommier and vice president, Professor Andrea Cartenini, the event participants were informed about the activity of the Association, AzerTag reports.

Professor at Sapienza University of Rome Giovanna Motta expressed interest of Italian researches for the investigation about the leading countries of the world. She said relations with Azerbaijan had important place in international ties of Sapienza University.

Vice-rector of Sapienza University Carlo Musto said his university attached great importance to boosting international relations. Carlo Musto expressed assurance that relations of Sapienza University with ASSAC would be expanded even further, adding these ties would contribute to cooperation between the two countries in scientific field.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Italy Vagif Sadigov highlighted Azerbaijani-Italian relations, adding President Ilham Aliyev`s visit to Italy gave a strong push to boosting these bonds.

Vice rector of Sapienza University Antonello Biagini highlighted the Higher School`s several projects realized jointly with Azerbaijan.

The event saw reports by Italian researches.

An opening the Studying and Research Centre on Azerbaijan has been held within the event.
