This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov.
The deputy prime minister said some international organizations have already responded to the request.
“Some of those responses contain ideas that contravene the norms of international law, while others have taken a positive approach to the matter. Some of them indeed condemn these actions of the Armenians, calling them illegal. Some others have regarded their actions as contrary to the norms of international law. Those organizations say they’re dealing with this issue”.
Hasanov mentioned that the Azerbaijani citizens haven’t violated the law. “They love their native land and people. They went to their homeland to visit their village and graves of their ancestors. And the Armenian government doesn’t give up its fascist actions, violates all international laws and keeps them as hostages.
Hasanov said that the Azerbaijani President has raised this issue at international events and official meetings and necessary measures are being taken for return of the hostages. The issue is under control of the head of state. “Under the instruction of the President Ilham Aliyev, I met with their family members. We will provide all the three families with housing. We often meet with members of the families, deal with their problems, render necessary assistance and we will continue it”, Hasanov said.
The Chairman of the Committee added that Shahbaz Guliyev’s wife was provided with job.
In July of this year, Russian citizen Dilgam Asgarov and Azerbaijani citizen Shahbaz Guliyev were taken hostage by the Armenian Armed Forces while trying to visit their homeland in Kalbajar, while another Azerbaijani citizen, Hasan Hasanov, was shot to death.
Hasan Hasanov’s body was handed over to Azerbaijan and buried in Baku.
