Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament meets Czech President
As earlier reported, the parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan led by speaker Ogtay Asadov is on an official visit in the Czech Republic.
Asadov has met with the president of Czech Republic Miloš Zeman.

In the meeting, the Czech President especially noted that as a young state Azerbaijan is the reliable partner of Czech.

The sides focused on further development of bilateral relations, the role of legislative bodies in this and other questions of mutual interest. It was noted that reciprocal visits of the heads of state and the signed documents have considerably promoted expansion of ties between the two countries.

Azerbaijani parliamentarians visited the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic and Senate, had exchange of views on parliamentary cooperation.

The same day, Azerbaijani Speaker met with the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Jan Hamáček and the President of Senate Milan Štěch to discuss development of interparliamentary relations and strengthen activity of the inter-parliamentary friendship groups.

Azerbaijani parliamentarians Malik Hasanov, Chingiz Asadullayev, Mahir Aslanov, Sadagat Valiyeva, the head of the parliament administration Safa Mirzoyev and Azerbaijani ambassador to the Czech Republic Farid Shafiyev took part at the meetings.
