Madat Guliyev made a speech on the topics titled “Intensifying cooperation against terrorism and manifestations of extremism”, said that the problems and complications caused by the global nature of terrorism and extremism pose a serious threat to international security. The geography of these dangerous manifestations is extending to new countries and continents. The religious extremism has become a major danger to the modern world. Basis of the religious extremism manifest itself more in today’s terrorist acts. This is mainly caused by the religious and ideological instructions inspired by “Al-Qaeda”, “ISIS” and other terrorist organizations which distort the true nature of traditional religious dogma in their destructive activities.
The SSS chief emphasized the importance of timely transfer of preventive information on threats in ensuring the regional and international security.
Relevant decisions were adopted on the issues included into the agenda of the meeting. The next meeting of CIS Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services is planned to be held in Azerbaijan.
