Azerbaijani, Turkish presidents meet in Istanbul
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul on May 23 .

During the meeting President Aliyev said the summit is very important for all of humanity, noting that Azerbaijan will take an active part in the implementation of the decisions adopted at the summit and provide the necessary support, APA’s Turkey correspondent reports.

Erdogan in turn expressed gratitude to President Aliyev for the fact that Azerbaijan remains committed to fulfilling its obligations within international organizations.

The sides further exchanged views on Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, as well as the settlement process of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
