Addressing the event held at the CMO on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, Pashazade said the believers should see themselves as soldiers, because the protection of the homeland is part of faith in Islam.
He noted that believers were fighting on the frontline during the Iran-Iraq war. “They were fighting with turbans on their heads and weapons in their hands. Why? Because the fight for the homeland is part of faith,” the CMO chairman said.
