`Officially, I confirm that General Mels Chilingaryan, colonel Mher Papyan and Armen Margaryan were arrested on May 30. The arrests were carried out under two different criminal cases on maiking low-quality goods, in some cases - of the purchase at exaggerated prices`, the Advisor to the Chairman of the Investigation Committee of Armenia Sona Truzyan told Aravot.am.
On May 31, the information spread in the Armenian Media that the yesterday new arrests were carried out by the Defense Ministry of Armenia. The head of the Armed Forces, Major General Mels Chilingaryan was also arrested.
