Azerbaijan, Iran mull co-op prospects in humanitarian sphere
Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Ali Hasanov received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Iran to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak Ayeen Dec.9, the press service of the Azerbaijani State Committee told.
The results of the visit of the deputy prime minister to Tehran November 23-27 at the invitation of the Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare of Iran Ali Rabiee, the meetings with officials and heads of a number of international humanitarian organizations conducted within the framework of this visit, were discussed at the meeting, said the press service.

It is reported that the deputy prime minister of Azerbaijan thanked the Iranian ambassador for the warm welcome and the high level of organization of this visit and meetings and said that all of this is a result of the developing friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran.

Hasanov also said that the sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest during the meeting. He said that the meetings with the First Vice-President of Iran Eshaq Jahangiri, Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Mahmoud Vaezi and Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare of Iran Ali Rabiee were especially fruitful.

Hasanov expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation between the countries in all fields and stressed the importance of expanding ties not only in economic but also in the humanitarian sphere, according to the press service.

Iranian ambassador thanked Hasanov for the warm welcome and said that work on cooperation issues, which were discussed during this visit, in the field of education, social and humanitarian spheres, social security, joint investment, labor issues, the problems of refugees and internally displaced persons has already begun.
