SGC is the best option to gasify southern Europe - Gazprom head

Russian officials will hold talks with Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission who will visit Russia to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), said Viktor Zubkov, board chairman of Russian energy major Gazprom, AzVision.az reports citing Interfax.
He noted that delivery of Russian gas to eh Southern Europe through Black Sea will be discussed in the negotiations: “Our president, government are trying to find a common language with EU. Mr. Juncker will attend the forum. He is wise and must understand that the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) is the best option to gasify the Southern Europe. They have been intending to create alternative corridors for long years, but all have failed”, Zubkov said.
