The Kurdistan Freedom Hawks (TAK), an offshoot of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) terror group, said on Friday it carried out a suicide bombing in Istanbul on Tuesday, which killed 11 people, Reuters reports.
A car carrying mobile police forces came under attack at Vezneciler neighborhood early Tuesday morning. An explosion occurred while the police car was passing by a car parked.

The incident killed 11 people—6 police officers and 5 civilians. 36 people were wounded in the blast. Azerbaijani citizen Murad Miraliyev, who is an Ahiska Turk living in Azerbaijan’s Shamakhi district, was wounded in his leg as a result of the explosion.
