Russia says design of underwater gas pipeline to Turkey to take over a year
The design of the underwater part of the gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey may take a year and a half, Russia
Molodsov, answering reporters’ question on construction of the pipeline’s underwater portion, said given the fact that much has been done on the land portion, there should be an actual designing of the underwater part, as soon as the current commercial commitments are set.

Russia decided in early December to cease the ‘South Stream’ project, including due to a non-constructive stance of the EU.

Instead, a new offshore gas pipeline of similar capacity will be built from Russia to Turkey.
