A 4.9-magnitude earthquake hit central Japan on Sunday morning, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicenter of the tremor was 6km east of Noda and at a depth of 45km, according to International Business Times. The local media reported that the quake struck at 7.54am (local time) in the southern part of Ibaraki Prefecture at a depth of 40km.
