Minister of economic development
Shahin Mustafayev briefed the delegation on the economic reforms carried out in Azerbaijan. He noted successful social and economic policy has ensured political and macroeconomic stability in Azerbaijan, adding favorable business and investment climate was created in the country. The minister also highlighted what had been done to expand economic cooperation of Azerbaijan with foreign countries. “Today Azerbaijan is recognized in the world as a reliable partner in ensuring Europe`s energy security.”
Mustafayev noted Azerbaijan was also an active participant of global energy and transport projects. The minister also pointed out that his country attaches great importance to cooperation with foreign countries, particularly members of the
European Union. He also stressed the importance of interparliamentary ties and reciprocal visits in terms of boosting bilateral cooperation, AzerTAc reports.
The sides discussed prospects for Azerbaijan-EU cooperation.
