Erdogan congratulates Putin on Russia Day

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has congratulated his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Russia Day, wishing Russian-Turkish relations reach a decent level in the near future, RIA Novosti reported.

"Dear Mr. President, on behalf of the Turkish people, I congratulate you and the people of Russia on the occasion of Russia Day. We wish Russian-Turkish relations to reach a decent level," Erdogan said in his letter of congratulations.

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim too has congratulated his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.

In the letter, the Turkish prime minister said he wishes relations and cooperation between the two countries to reach a level vital for the common interests of the two peoples in the near future.
