A gunman named as Omar Mateen killed 50 people and left 53 others injured many seriously, in a 2am attack on LGBT nightclub the Pulse, in Orlando, Florida. After an hours-long standoff, police stormed the building, killed the gunman and rescued about 30 hostages.

Azerbaijani citizen was at the gay club a few hours ago, AzVision.az reports. An anonymous person contacted with AzVision`s correspondent via internet and made statement on the deadly Orlando shooting attack.

` The environment is different in Azerbaijan. People who go to this kind of clubs are not found acceptable. My parents are well-known people and live in Azerbaijan. In this fashion, I do not want my name to be mentioned in this incident. I do not want them to worry about me and be disappointed`, he said.

`I moved to America a few years ago. I live alone here. I often go to that club together with my friends. We were at the club when the attack happened. Fortunately, I had to leave the club before the attack but my friends stayed there. Then I went to the gym. An hour later, I heard that there was a shooting and my friends were shot. I immediately went back to the club. Police had taken control of the area. They did not allow me to enter the club. Most of the people died. It was terrible. I am devastated by the attack. If I did not leave the club, I would die. After this attack, we, Muslims are accepted as terrorists. I want to return back to Azerbaijan to recover from shock`, he added.

Later, with the help of the young Azerbaijani, we contacted with one of the witnesses of the bloody incident, Omar Krullon.

Speaking to AzVision.az, Omar Krullon remembered the terrible event: `We were 6 friends at the nightclub. My lover was also with me. We were drinking and dancing. Everything was alright. No one imagined what would happen. My lover was recording us while we were dancing. Suddenly, shootings were heard. We were drunk. We did not know what happened. My lover and friends laid in a pool of blood. I could not hear anything. In order to avoid bullets, I laid down. When I open my eyes, I was in the hospital. When I heard that my lover and my friends died, I went mad. Several friends of mine got injured. The shooter was gazing us scornfully. `
