Turkish police hurt in eastern bomb attack
The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, said the incident happened on Tuesday in the Gevas district of Van province.
An explosive device planted inside a culvert located on the Gevas-Van highway was detonated as an armored vehicle carrying the police officers passed by.

Two of the injured are in a critical condition.

An air-backed operation was launched to catch the terrorists.

The PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU – resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015.

Since then, around 500 security personnel, including troops, police officers and village guards have been martyred, and over 5,000 PKK terrorists killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq
