New head appointed to EU delegation to Azerbaijan
Vice President of the Commission Catherine Ashton, appointed Malena M
High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President of the Commission Catherine Ashton, appointed Malena Mård as the new head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan, the EU official website reported. Malena Mård will replace Roland Kobia in this post.

Malena Mård is currently deputy director general and head of department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, having previously served in St Petersburg, Dhaka and Brussels.

New heads of the EU delegations also appointed to the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Paraguay, Sri Lanka and Kyrgyzstan.
The new appointments are part of the 2013 rotation exercise within the European External Action Service (EEAS).
