As of June 1, 2016, the number of economically active population made 4,945,200 thousand in Azerbaijan.
The State Statistical Committee says number of hired workers made 1,501,600, including 891,000 workers in state sector, 610,600 in no-state sector, 34,400in oil sector, 1,467,200 in non-oil sector.
