Addressing the last plenary meeting of the parliament’s extraordinary session on June 24, Hasanguliyev stressed that the comments by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova on the statements made by top Azerbaijani official Novruz Mammadov on the St. Petersburg meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents are unacceptable.
“In response to what Zakharova said about Novruz Mammadov, I could call her “stupid woman”, but I don’t wan to say so,” the MP criticized.
“Novruz Mammadov seems to say true about the St. Petersburg meeting, therefore the Russian MFA spokesperson reacted so aggressively,” Hasanguliyev said, calling on the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman to properly react to Zakharova’s comments.
