Mehriban Aliyeva inspects preparatory work in the Olympic Village
On 3 May, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the first European Games, Mehriban Aliyeva, familiarized with the preparatory work in the Olympic Village.

Located in the Nizami district of Baku, the Olympic Village, which will be used during the first European Games, covers an area of 382, 397 square meters. The Olympic Village is located close to major sporting facilities, which will host the European Games - the Olympic Stadium, Aquatics Centre and Gymnastics Complex, as well as the airport. The complex, consisting of 13 residential, ancillary buildings, has 1,161 two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom apartments.

There are also electric substation, boiler room, an underground water reservoir, pump station and parking in each building. Preparatory work has been done in the complex for the construction of duplex houses covering 42,000 square meters in addition to 3,520 rooms.
