`Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan believe in the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict`, the US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick told, AzVision.az reports citing the Voice of America.
`Presidents would not hold negotiations if they did not believe in the peaceful settlement. They have focused on the positive results as they are aware that there is no military settlement to the conflict. The war could lead to the disaster in the region`, Warlick said.
Finally, international brokers tend to convince the sides to settle the conflict.
`Time is ripe. Nothing will be easy in two or five years. It is dangerous to keep heavy weapons, shells and artillery weapons on the contact line. Any false step could increase the risk of war.
`US applauds the efforts of the Russian President Putin in settlement to the conflict. He is not interested in prolonging the conflict`, he added.
