Erdogan`s letter to Putin serious, correct step, Russia says
Turkish President Erdogan’s letter to President Putin is a serious and correct step, spokesperson for Russia’s Foreign Ministry Mariya Zakharova said June 28 at a briefing in Moscow.
She said that on June 27 and June 28, Dmitry Peskov, Russian president`s spokesperson, gave detailed information on the developments in the relations between Russia and Turkey, and told about Russia’s assessment of Erdogan’s letter.

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a letter of condolences to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin June 27 over the death of Russian Su-24 pilot and expressed regret over the incident.

The relations between Russia and Turkey deteriorated after the Su-24 bomber incident.

Following the incident, Russia`s President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on taking measures for ensuring the country`s national security and special economic measures against Turkey.
