Poland is ready to support Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan’s implementation of large energy projects is an objective necessity for the country and aims to ensure energy security of Europe, Azerbaijani Minister of Energy Natiq Aliyev said at the sixth meeting of the Azerbaijani-Polish intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Baku Dec. 15.

“Poland will support Azerbaijan`s efforts to ensure energy security of the EU and the work carried out in the gas sector,” Polish Minister of Economy and Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Piechociński said.

“Azerbaijan is ready to share its experience in the exploration and development of natural resources,” Aliyev said. "The cooperation in the field of energy efficiency, alternative and renewable energy sources is attractive for the Azerbaijani side.”

During the meeting, it was proposed to hold the event to present own transport opportunities, in particular, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars new railway line and port facilities in Azerbaijan. The need of working out a roadmap was stressed for cooperation in the transport sector. Therefore, the corresponding organizations of the two countries were proposed to make efforts.
