Shiites and Sunnites in Azerbaijan sometimes celebrate Eid al-Fitr in different days. But today, they performed Eid prayer together, the Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade said on July 6.
According to him, this once more proves that there is not discrimination in beliefs in Azerbaijan: `We performed prayer in all mosques for the first time. This shows our unity. There is no such a unity around the world. This proves our tolerance. We have enemy, we have the Karabakh problem. May Allah predestine for us to liberate our lands soon. Performing of prayer and reciting of adhan at same time are important for us. We have unity and some powers try to prevent it. However, no one can break this unity because Allah wants it`.
