Volume of currency operations in USD triples, in Euro drops 1.8 times
The volume of the foreign exchange market dropped sharply in January-May compared to the relevant period of last year.
According to the statistics of the Central Bank, that the volume of currency transactions in USD decreased by 3 times compared to the same period of last year. In other words, the volume of currency transactions in USD as of June 1 was $2,792,258,700, while this figure was $8,298,501,800.

Foreign exchange cash in the amount of $1,377,263,800 were sold in January-May. This is 5 times less compared to the same period of last year. In five months of this year, $1,414,994,900 was sold. This figure is 3.3% times more compared to the same period of last year.

The volume of currency transactions in Euro declined by 1.8 times in five months of this year. Euro operations stood at € 363,052,500 in January-May, €641,772,500 in the same period of 2015.

Foreign exchange cash in the amount of €221,944,800 were sold in five months of this year. This is 2.3 times less compared to the same period of last year. In January-May, $141,107,400 was sold. This figure is 0.3% times less compared to the same period of last year.
