As of June 1, 2016, the number of Azerbaijani population made 9,747,400, up 41,800 persons or 0.4% from early 2016.
According to State Statistical Committee, density of population made 112 persons per m2. Each 1,000 men are equal to 1,007 women. 53.1% of population is in cities, 46.9% in villages, 49.8% are men, 50.2% women.
