Azerbaijan, Ukraine keen to develop military-technical co-op - President Aliyev
It is important to establish a joint industrial complex between the two countries, President Aliyev said at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko in Baku July 14.
He noted that there are good opportunities to develop either the heavy industry, or the military-technical cooperation.
Ilham Aliyev added that Azerbaijan and Ukraine are interested in implementing the Odesa-Brody project for oil transportation.
“We have seriously discussed the Odesa-Brody project because Azerbaijan supplies large volumes of oil to the European market," he said.
The presidents also discussed the possibility of creating a joint venture for production of An-178 aircraft in Azerbaijan.
“One of the most promising projects are supplies of Ukrainian An-178 transport aircraft to Azerbaijan and joint production of these aircraft in future, in particular in the territory of Azerbaijan," Poroshenko said at the conference.
