"What happened in Turkey is attempting a coup against the elected government by the people,” reads the statement released by the Turkish embassy in Azerbaijan.
"The people of Turkey, showing unity, was able to resist the attempt of a military coup in the country. The Head of State and Prime Minister continue to perform their duties, "the statement said.
