US police detained and put in custody the hostage taker who attacked a Burger King restaurant in Baltimore, Maryland, after some five and a half hours, local media reported on Sunday, citing police.
Earlier on Sunday, a rape suspect escaped police agents as they tried to arrest him and hid in the restaurant holding four people against their will there, The Baltimore Sun said.
