President Aliyev attends farewell ceremony for Azerbaijani Olympic team - PHOTOS

A farewell ceremony was held in Baku July 18 for the Azerbaijani delegation which is due to take part in the 31st Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremony.

The head of state delivered a speech at the event.

Then, Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov, coach of Greco-Roman wrestling team Akif Aliyev, paralympic athlete Ilham Zakiyev and greco-roman wrestler Rasul Chunayev also made speeches.

Finally, athletes swore the Olympic oath.
