Azerbaijan presidential term can be extended

Azerbaijan presidential term can be extended

The presidential term is proposed to extend in Azerbaijan.

It is proposed in a draft of the Act on the referendum in connection with the amendments to the Constitution of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

According to the draft, the term of office of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan is possible to increase from 5 to 7 years.

It should be noted that President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on submitting the draft on Referendum Act in connection with the amendments to the Azerbaijani Constitution to the Constitutional Court.
