He made the remarks at a press conference in Baku July 21.
The ambassador expressed gratitude to the fraternal people of Azerbaijan for solidarity with the Turkish people during the period of the failed July 15 coup in his country.
He noted that the world’s attention have been riveted on the latest developments in Turkey. “Unfortunately, we have observed the spread of false information by some foreign media outlets,” Coskun said.
“Turkey, with a total population of nearly 80 million and its legitimate government agencies, stands firmly against terrorism. Let no one doubt this,” said the ambassador. “You saw how people reacted to the coup attempt organized by a group of FETO followers within the Armed Forces of Turkey. If among our enemies there are still those who believe that Turkey may falter after these events, I urge them to rethink about it.”
