According to police, the gray medium-sized car had been hijacked.
On Friday, at least nine people were killed in a shooting at the Olympia shopping center in the German city of Munich.
Another body was found not far from the site of the shooting and police are investigating whether it could be that of one of the attackers.
The attackers are still at large and the motive of the shooting is unclear.
According to susbequent police reports, the recovered vehicle was not related to the attack.
