Drivers report ten hour delays at Port of Dover as France heightens security after terror attacks
Holidaymakers heading to the continent face ten hour delays as France has stepped up its security checks in the wake of the terror threat.
Drivers have been stranded on the roads approaching the port for nearly ten hours overnight with no access to any facilities.

One driver said passport control are doing "full background checks" and it took them four hours to get through.

Kent Police advises drivers to stock up on food and water if going to due to the delays due to French border checks.

A spokesman said: "Motorists heading for the ports are advised to allow extra time for their journeys, to pack food and water and to expect delays."
