Washington welcomes European Parliament
Washington has expressed its appreciation concerning the European Parliament
“This is the most important event in the way of Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia,” spokesperson for the US State Department Jen Psaki said at a press-briefing.

"This testifies to Europe’s growing confidence in Georgia,” she said. “This confirms conducting several reforms by the country. The US joins Europe in support of the Georgian people."

The European Parliament ratified the association agreement with Georgia on December 18.

Around 11 EU member-states, namely, Denmark, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, Malta, Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Sweden and Croatia ratified the association agreement between Georgia and the EU.
