Magnitude 5.8 earthquake strikes off Indonesian coast
A 5.8 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Indonesia, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The underwater earthquake occurred at 06:40 local time (23:40 GMT), nine kilometers (5.5 miles) off the coast of the southern Sumbawa island, the USGS said on Sunday.

No tsunami warning has been issued and no casualties or damage has been reported.

Indonesia is a part of the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire quake zone, where about 90 percent of the world`s earthquakes occur.
