UN Armenian expert: "Slowdown in Russian economic growth rate has not influenced Azerbaijan"
Decline of Russian economic growth rate has already influenced most of post Soviet countries, expert of the UN Department of economic and social problems Grigor Aghabekyan said in his interview to the UN radio.
“All CIS countries, as well as Baltic states depend on Russian economy. Decline in Russian economic growth rate has influenced some countries”, he said.

According to him, the situation in energy producing CIS countries, for instance, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan is better.

Aghabekyan says that the labour migrants in Russia are already returning to their homeland: “residents of several Middle Asian countries are returning to their homelands and this situation is creating tension in the labour market of their countries. Because the opportunities have also been restricted there and event may lead to certain social instability”, the expert said.
