Number of Iraqi tourists visiting Azerbaijan up by 30 times
The number of the tourists coming to Azerbaijan from Iraq increased by 30 times in 1H 2016 as compared to 2015, said Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism in a message Aug. 11.
Meanwhile, the number of the tourists from the UAE rose by 19 times and from Bahrain by 13 times in 1H 2016.

In total, 25,000 people came to Azerbaijan from Arab countries in 1H 2016, or 8 times more than in 2015.

The growth in the number of tourists and Azerbaijan’s turning into a priority direction for citizens of Arab countries is related to the visa issuance reforms and to the improvement of Azerbaijan’s image in the target markets.
