Turkey names new representative to UN
Turkey appointed its new permanent representative to the United Nations, Anadolu Agency reported Aug. 16.
The report said that Former Undersecretary to the Turkish Foreign Ministry Feridun Sinirlioglu was appointed as the permanent representative at the UN on Aug. 15.

Sinirlioglu worked in the Middle East Affairs Department of the Foreign Ministry in 2000-2002.

He also served as Turkey’s ambassador to Israel in 2002-2007, and has been the undersecretary to the Foreign Ministry since 2009.
