Provocative video spread by Meydan TV
Spreading a provocative video, Meydan TV, tried to cast a shadow upon transparency of municipal elections held in Azerbaijan. The video implies "violation of rule" during the elections.
The video was recorded at the polling station number 12. The video shows as if, someone used force against a journalist.

While watching the video thoroughly, one can seize that this is deliberately fabricated by Meydan TV and its staff as a provocative act.

Watch carefully, the municipal elections started today-on Dec 23, at 08.00. But the video on the “violation of rule” was placed on YouTube on Dec 22. How a “violation of rule” could be recorded a day before elections? It had probably been recorded beforehand, during the preparatory process at the polling station.

Why was the video recorded in a polling station, where there was not any observation camera? There are cameras inside the 16# and 17# polling stations but not in 15#. It means that they chose the 15# polling station deliberately.

The woman in the video said to be a member of an opposition party. She tries to show as if she votes for more than one people. But they are just plain white papers.

One can even see the cameraman waiting for the woman to drop ballots into the box. Actually he shouldn’t. This fact also prove that, the video is completely fabricated.

One more question: Meydan TV have announced that they had closed their Baku office. So, what happened, the office was opened just for a day? Why? What was the reason? Think of it…

The act was drawn on the fact.

The CEC "hot line" has received 25 referential appeals up to now. No complaints have been received from anyone, as well as from the very journalist who made the video.
