SOCAR oil terminal in Georgia starts pipeline cleaning
The Black Sea oil terminal of the state oil company of Azerbaijan SOCAR in Kulevi (Georgia) has completed installation of the device for cleaning of the pipeline and started its first operations, the message of the oil terminal said.
This device used for cleaning, inspection and maintenance of pipelines, enables implementing various operations on the pipeline without interrupting transportation of products. On the other hand, the equipment will help reduce corrosion, optimize services for transshipment of oil and oil products, while maintaining product quality.

The terminal in Georgia`s Kulevi was commissioned in May 2008 and the oil transshipment started in June of the same year. The total capacity of the terminal is 10 million tons of bulk-oil cargo per year, three million tons of oil, three million tons of diesel fuel and four million tons of fuel oil.
