According to the ministry, Azerbaijan’s cooperation with the GECF was appreciated and participation in this organization as an observer and development of cooperation was discussed.
Seyed Mohammad Hossein Adeli informed about the GECF energy ministers meeting to be held in November in Doha, Qatar. The meeting will focus on determination of new development model of gas exporting countries, vision to these countries’ opportunities by 2040 and joining of new participants. Azerbaijan was also invited to this meeting.
Azerbaijan obtained status of observer in the GECF at the 17th meeting on November 21, 2015.
