Azerbaijan to receive 3 more Boeing cargo aircraft
Azerbaijani cargo airline Silk Way Cargo and the US company Boeing signed on Dec. 24 an agreement on the purchase of three new Boeing 747-8 aircraft in 2015-2016, the head of the press service of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Maharram Safarli told.
The agreement was signed in Baku.

Aside from that, a ceremony was held Dec. 24 for receiving a new Boeing B-787-8 (Dreamliner), which was purchased by AZAL from the US company.

In the near future, Azerbaijan will receive another aircraft of this type.

AZAL, based in the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, is Azerbaijan’s national carrier.

Currently, the airline’s route network includes over 20 international destinations in the US, China, CIS, Europe and the Middle East.

Boeing 787 Dreamliner provides airlines with unprecedented fuel efficiency and lower operating costs.

In addition, the innovative technologies on board the aircraft make it possible to significantly improve the passengers’ impressions of the flight.

So far, some 58 customers around the world have made 1,055 orders for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
