Azerbaijan to ease passing through its checkpoints
Azerbaijan will speed up the passage of foreigners and stateless persons through the border checkpoints with Russia, Turkey, Iran and Georgia, according to the decree signed by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev on additional measures for developing tourism in the country.
Jointly with the Foreign Ministry, State Customs Committee and the State Border Service, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism should work out relevant proposals on improving the law and present them to Azerbaijan’s president within three months.

Moreover, within six months, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism should ensure the creation of the information website and tourism registry containing information about the tourism facilities, products and industrial entities, as well as statistical data and results of the monitoring of tourism reserves, tourism activities and industry.
