Azerbaijan lifts one of powers of Cabinet of Ministers

Azerbaijan lifts one of powers of Cabinet of Ministers

One of the powers of the Cabinet of Ministers has been lifted.

This is according to the presidential decree on amendments to the decree dated 18 January 2016 on additional measures for encouragement of investment.

The amendment has to do with the rule of giving the document on investment encouragement. Under this rule, the Cabinet of Ministers used to specify economic areas for investment, minimal amounts for investment projects, and administrative area units. With the latest amendment, this power of the Cabinet of Ministers is lifted and will be given to the president.
