No big changes expected in Kazakh government
New government which will be formed in Kazakhstan will not greatly differ from the former one, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the expanded government meeting on Sept. 9., Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.
“I think there will not be a lot of changes, because the government copes with its tasks," Nazarbayev said at the expanded government meeting on Sept. 9.

The new government should be formed after resignation of Prime Minister Karim Massimov from his post on Sept. 8.

The new government will be formed soon, the president said.

Nazarbayev also explained its decision to appoint Massimov as the head of the National Security Committee.

"First, it will strengthen security issues, a problem of terrorism exists now. Karim Massimov with his consent was transferred to this important post ... there is a need for him at this place. He has experience, knows the situation in the republic," Nazarbayev said.
