On September 9, 2016, `Transparency Azerbaijan`released a report on the electronic services provided by the public authorities and electronic exchange of information.
439 electronic services of 34 state agencies have been assessed in accordance with the internationally accepted methodology and their electronic development index has been determined by the `Transparency Azerbaijan`, the report states.
In addition, 75% of the electronic services approved in the decision №191 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 14.11.2011 have been electronized, the report says.
In consistency with the results of e-development index, ASAN Service ranked 1st with the highest result. ASAN Service was completely electronized all of its services.
Top 5 agencies include the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, the Ministry of Taxes, the State Examination Centre and the State Customs Committee.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs was included among top 5 agencies for `electronic information exchange` and the Ministry of Justice ranked 5th for `online receive of results of e-services`.
The Ministry of Taxes offers the most of the e-services (108 services) to the citizens. It is possible to get online result of 39 e-services of the Ministry of Taxes without visiting any relevant state agency.
A number of recommendations were given in regard with the results of index. `Transparency Azerbaijan ` recommends the state agencies to provide online consultation services in their official web pages. Currently, the official web page of ASAN Service offers an online consultation service to the citizens.
