Excessive speed caused lethal train crash in Spain`s Galicia
The passenger train that has recently crashed in northwestern Spain exceeded the speed limit, investigator Juan Carlos Carballeira told reporters on Tuesday.
Last Friday, a train going to Portugal veered off the tracks and derailed in Spain`s Galicia province, killing four people and injuring around 50 others.

"We have all the relevant data," Carballeira was quoted as saying by the Galician newspaper Faro de Vigo. The suspected cause was confirmed after black box recordings showed that the train was travelling at the speed of some 73 miles per hours on a track where the limit was roughly 19 miles per hour.
