New head of Turkish Civil Aviation Authority appointed
Vacit Oktem has been appointed new head of Turkish Civil Aviation Authority, Haber7 TV channel reported on Dec.29.
Previously, he served as the president of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations (UTBA).

It was earlier reported that head of Turkish Civil Aviation Authority Osman Yildirim was arrested on Oct.28 during the operation conducted by employees of the Financial Crimes Unit of Ankara Police Department.

Aside from Yildirim, nine more people were arrested on suspicion of being involved in wheeler-dealer finance.
