SOCAR controls 95% of gas distribution network in Georgia
Today, SOCAR is meeting major part of demand for gas and oil in Georgia, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said in his interview to “Azerbaijan” newspaper.
He says, SOCAR Energy Georgia LLC is the largest taxpayer in Georgia and is currently controlling 95% of regional gas distribution network of Georgia except Tbilisi: “In 2009-2015, SOCAR’s gas sale in Georgia approximately increased 7 times, our daughter company constructed 5,360 km-gas lines in the country, 209,136 subscribers were gasified. 116 SOCAR filling stations operate in Georgia. This makes 25% of retail sale of oil products in Georgia”.

Abdullayev also added, `SOCAR wins the award for "Best Company in Georgia” for several times`.
